Planning out your schedule for next semester and trying to fit in some fitness? There are plenty of options right here on campus, many of which are either free or part of your tuition.
Classes for Credit:
Did you know you could take 19 credits per semester without having to pay any more? So if you’re only taking 16 academic credits, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t take a one-credit physical education course! There are so many different courses that Syracuse offers, such as badminton, karate, horseback riding, tennis, gymnastics, weight training, aerobic dance, volleyball, scuba diving, yoga, and anything else you can think of!

Classes for Free:
If you don’t want to pay for your workout, Rec Services offers free classes on Move It Mondays and Fridays! If these classes fit into your schedule, they are a great way to meet new people and get an awesome workout. Visit SU’s Healthy Monday website for more information.
Classes That Cost:
Can’t find the class you’re looking for? A week after classes start, you can visit the Syracuse University Recreation Services website to sign up for fitness classes. Classes include zumba, ballet, cycling, yoga, power yoga, aqua fitness, swimming, boot camp, sculpting, tae kwon do, cross fit, sculpting, abs, fencing, and golf. Fifty-minute classes such as cycling, zumba, yoga, and swimming are offered at multiple times during the week to accommodate different schedules, either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, while some are only one day a week. Prices range from $50-90 for the semester.
