Finding Your Balance from A to Chi: The Beginning of the Rest of Your Life

College is supposed to be the best four years of your life, so why not love every minute of it?

People always say college is the best four years of your life. And while this may appear to be a cliché and ridiculous statement to make, considering all of life’s incredible moments, college really is the best time of your life. You are not only beginning the transition into adulthood, but you are also creating an independent lifestyle. The habits and patterns of behavior you establish and he choices you make in these four yeas really do set the foundation for the rest of your life. So why not start off the absolute best way possible?

Up until you are a freshman in college, your life is very structured. Whether it’s at your high school or at home, there is always a hierarchy of authority figures that dictate what you can and can’t do. But once you enter college, the power is entirely in your hands. While this may initially appear daunting, nothing is more liberating than having the power to choose. Even though you may make some mistakes along the way, those mistakes contribute to your learning and overall growth as an individual.

Even though this all may seem very scary, this crazy thing we call life really isn’t as complicated as it seems. While you never may know what lies ahead, that’s the exact beauty of life: you must learn how to roll with the punches, and embrace the positives that comes out of each moment.

This is it. This is the beginning to the rest of your life. Buckle your seatbelt, because the journey has only just begun.
