Grilled Mozzarella Cheese

If you’re a cheese lover, you need to try this recipe! Grilled cheese is one of the best comfort foods around, but can definitely get old after a while. Shake things up and use mozzarella instead of American cheese. This new twist on an old favorite is sure to become a classic!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Mozzarella cheese
  • extra-virgin olive oil
  • freshly ground, black pepper
  • coarse salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped

1 lemon

Directions

Cut the cheese into ½ inch thick slices and lightly oil a frying pan. Heat the oven over high heat. As soon as the cheese slices turn golden brown on the bottom, flip over and cook on the other side. Dress with olive oil, pepper, salt, basil and the juice of a lemon. Serve immediately and enjoy!
