This delicious after dinner treat is sugar-free and extremely easy to whip up. The key to the dessert is a waffle iron; it allows for the brownies to take on an individual style and develop a unique, mouth watering flavor- plus they’re ready in just minutes! You’re going to need…
- 1 cup of sunspire grain sweetened chocolate chips, coarsely chopped
- ¾ cups of earth balance vegan butter
- 4 eggs
- ¾ cups agave
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 ½ cups flour (1 whole wheat, ½ white)
- ½ cup cocoa powder
Begin by melting the earth balance and chocolate together in the microwave in 30 second bursts until both are melted. The earth balance will melt first so stir and check the chocolate after each burst to ensure that it doesn’t burn.
Next, beat the melted earth balance and chocolate with the agave until it’s completely blended. Add the eggs, salt, vanilla, cinnamon and cocoa powder in and mix thoroughly. The finally add in the flour and mix together.
Preheat a waffle iron and lightly spray it with cooking spray.If your waffle iron has a pattern of 4 waffles place a large tablespoon of batter in the middle of each square. Close the cover and let them cook for approximately 1.5 – 2 minutes. Remove and let them cool for 5-10 minutes then enjoy!
