Seared Tuna Tataki & Grilled Zucchini

by Jenna Heller, blogger

A healthy and delicious meal that’ll cost you less than $10 to prepare—yes, it’s possible! You can buy two 6-ounce  tuna steaks from the frozen food section at Wegmans for only $5.99, throw in some veggies and you’re set. You’ll also need, sesame seeds, soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, lemon, and the essential salt, pepper and garlic powder.

After defrosting the tuna, rub toasted sesame oil on both sides and shake sesame seeds all over. Turn the stove on high and cook the steak for two minutes in a pan on one side, then flip it and cook it for another two minutes on the other. Slice the inside of the tuna to see how well cooked it is. You can leave it longer depending on how rare you want it.

For the grilled zucchini, slice it in long strips and drizzle canola oil on top. Then shake some salt, pepper, and garlic powder and let them sizzle to perfection.

In a bowl pour some soy sauce, a little rice vinegar, and squeeze some lemon to create a dipping sauce for the tuna and zucchini. Toss it all together and enjoy!
